7 Things On My Mind

  • Airplanes, and their ambiguous use of being turned into shooting stars. Really could use a wish right now.
  • The endless chirp echoing throughout the night; grasshoppers? Or are them crickets.
  • Guitar, it's too late for any noise. Haven't touched it since yesterday.
  • Zeal, and my apparent lack of it. Needyounow.
  • Colour, in the soundscape sense. Could it be any more difficult to comprehend?
  • Life, and it's lack of shortcuts. Ain't no walkover.
  • The one.

Light Up The Sky

Been watching movies lately. The most emotional one though, was Up In the Air. Really, that was certainly the greatest 2 hours I've spent in the hols so far. They call it, idealism, no?

What about me. Well, If I'd have to paint up my thousand words. Here's what's in me.

Yeah. I wouldn't have it any other way. Cause I still trust.

Looking to the Skies

You disappoint me.

Is that how you love your neighbours?

Brand me whatever you want.

But I believe I got the job done. Whether you dislike my methods is negligible.

This post was written a long time ago.
Even the people involved in this matter wouldn't understand so yea.

Veryday

Edit: Switchfoot - 4:12 is a nice song. I like. I heart.

Note: you don't need to read this. You won't understand what happened, nor will you probably ever.

Nearly breaking down. I got too close to emotional for the first time. What's worse, it happened during tuition. Thankfully, no one noticed. Thank God, I pulled through without descending into depression. Thank You, for making me resilient enough to... get through it. And yes, you probably

You are my strength

Only one person would understand this.
This post was written sometime not recently.
The writer is free.
Obviously, this wasn't REALLY posted @ 4:12 in the morning.

First Time

Weell. Time is still passing so fast! Wanting it to slow down more.

"I wish it was before Christmas" - Friend
Lol. Yeah. And just so you know, I entered Science stream. Just like 90%++ of my friends. 'Cause they are all scared of the Physics teacher for Sc. Accounts stream, who is also the class teacher. Mr. Mansor. But then we got split up, since there is no streaming )=. Oh, the pain. What's worse is the non-prefect group is mostly in the other class. AH!!!

And. Haha. CNY coming. Hmmm. Anyway, I'm a happy person now =D. Cause I forgot about all my homework =P.

Disarray

Lifehouse - Disarray

Verse 1
I've faced my demons
Wrestling these angels to the ground
And all that I could find
Was a thin line between
All the saints and villains
It was crossed in my own minds

Chorus
Someday I'm gonna find it
Wish I knew what I was looking for
Inside the disarray (inside the disarray)
I woke up this morning
Don’t know where I’m going
But it’s alright
I wouldn't have it any other way

Verse 2
Struggling between the facts and fiction
I’m alone
But I'm alive
Everyone around me is trying to make a statement, then there's me
I’m just trying to survive

Chorus
Someday I'm gonna find it
Wish I knew what I was looking for
Inside the disarray (inside the disarray)
I woke up this morning
Don’t know where I’m going
But it’s alright
I wouldn't have it any other way

Bridge/Interlude
If this was any other day
I pretend to know where I stand
I Just don’t know (just don’t know)
I Just don’t know

Chorus
Someday I'm gonna find it
Wish I knew what I was looking for
Inside the disarray (inside the disarray)
I woke up this morning
Don’t know where I’m going
But it’s alright
I wouldn't have it any other way
Someday I will find it
Wish I knew what I was looking for
Inside the disarray (inside the disarray)
I woke up this morning
Don’t know where I’m going
But it’s alright
Yeah... Been listening to songs again, at last. God really works, given solace at the right time of my life. 2009, bring it on! It's not gonna be mine to claim though. All to the One above!

It's Not Over

Everything's coming up over the weekend. Can't even confirm some details for tomorrow. Ah, I'll just go to sleep then. Then wake up and visit the dentist's. As if i want to. And it's gonna be a harrowing few days.

...

Holidays are going to be over. So fast... Ahh.

All I can do is pray

Ecclesiastes?

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come,
And the years draw near when you say,

“ I have no pleasure in them”: -
Ecclesiastes 12:1
Old wisdom. Do you know that this book exists? What it speaks about (meaninglessness of life)? It's written by Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, a man who experienced all the pleasures of life. ALL OF THEM. And he doesn't give a care about them any more, as is blatantly obvious through the book.

Time comes and goes, pleasures last a moment. Nothing sticks.

Apathy.

Because. It's me.

Abel is floating around aimlessly, looking for solid ground. And is also trying to comprehend talent.

And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
To lose is worse than not to have at all.

Why can't I find it again?

The Final Showdown

(not) Random Verse:

Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. - 1 Corinthians 14:39 (NIV)
Let's see.

National Robotics Competition (National Level) 2008 - 15-16 September 2008 (4 more days)
Penilaian Menengah Rendah 2008 - 13-17 October 2008 (32 more days)

BTW, Gerak Gempur is going on in my school. Skipping them all 'cause of robotics =). The moment any teacher enters class, two people go for Robotics training. It's stressful though for all of us. PMR is... looming in the shadows.

The academic battle of the year is over, but a battle that's been on since the universe existed still goes on till Jesus comes again - Anonymous
For it says:

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. - Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
Take care people, don't get run over by Jeremy Tan's (seemingly) non-blasphemous Series!

Where Do We Belong?

Hillsong Live - Where We Belong
Words & Music by: Joel Davies & Reuben Morgan
Lead Vocals: Joel Davies & Reuben Morgan

Verse 1
There is no height or depth
Neither life nor death
That can take me from all that I find
Here now in Your glory Lord

Verse 2
No other powers or love
The things of now or to come
There's nothing on earth in this life
That could ever separate us Lord

Pre-Chorus
Your love is never ending
To Your hands we surrender
Where all our sins are washed away
Your grace beyond reason
Has paid for our freedom
We're made alive in You

Chorus
We run to Your throne
Where we belong
Every heart will sing
That Jesus is lord

Casting all else aside
For the joy of our Christ
Let Your glory fall
Our hearts are filled with Your fire
Think about it. When was the last time you left the world to it's own, and entered a time of praising the wonderful name of the Lord, meditating on the Bible, or even prayer?

How about worship? I'm quite surprised to find the secular definition of worship, according to Wiktionary matches what we should do:

worship (uncountable)

1. The devotion accorded to a deity or to a sacred object

What is devotion, then? Devotion is dedication. So, how can we accord our dedication to God?

Do you live a “peculiar” Chrisitan life, a life that calls attention to Christ alone? Is your life so distinct and remarkable that others look at you and see Christ himself reflected? Or have you allowed yourself to be worn down by consumerism, empty religiousity, and everyday routine?
I think I shall stop here, as I see no purpose going further.

Tomorrow is National Day. I only have one question. When was the last time you honoured your country, people? When was the last time you actually sang along to the national anthem, the last time you really stood straight, the last time you attended a National Day celebration? As you live in this country, even though you don't like the ruling government, remember, we are born into this nation for a purpose.

Jeremiah 29:7 - Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper (NIV)
I forgot who quoted this bible verse, I think it was my pastor. This is the response of the Lord to those, to pray for Babylon, even though Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon was the one who looted them (0r something). So, shouldn't we seek the peace and prosperity of the city, which the Lord has sent us to by sheer non-coincidence?
