Anderson (H1N1)

Well. Here's the closest thing you'll get to real information. This is real information. Here's what happened throughout the whole fiasco.

Rumours about Anderson floating around.
  • 3 confirmed cases
  • 14 confirmed cases
  • School is closing down
  • Many many many more
The truth is.

  • 27th of July, the school detected 30-40 students in the hostel having influenza symptoms. Students know nothing about this.
  • 28th of July. Emergency assembly conducted, about A(H1N1). Announced the previous point, and they clearly stated that its' "just influenza, not H1N1, ok?". And that there are no confirmed cases. Those who have symptoms are requested to go to the hall for checkup, there were some medical personnel handing out masks, and Paracetamol to those with fever. And Robitussin (something for cough) to those with cough.
  • 29th of July. NOTHING. No checkup available. School as normal.
  • 30th of July. My friend's mum, who is a doctor, recieved information that there are 2 confirmed cases. This is real stuff, I'm very sure. PLEASE READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH.
Wait. Take a deep breath. Hostel boys "live in their own world" and rarely mix outside of it. They even have their own special classes, dubbed "Kelas Rancangan Khas". This is basically a group of "elite" students. They might be excelling in academics or sports, and they're there. Basically, it didn't spread outside of that "social bubble".

Summary. There ARE confirmed cases. But on the 1st of August, there's this thing called "Program Pelancongan Pelajar", and it's really big, cause Tan Sri Muhiyiddin Yassin came down. And so did many schools from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. So, if the school closed the week before it happened, we'd lose one of the biggest events they'll (school authorities) ever get.

So, the SELFISH INCONSIDERATE SCHOOL AUTHORITIES decide to put A WHOLE NATION AT STAKE and not close down the school.

Updated info as of 3rd August

The school announces that they "haven't recieved the results from the analysis centre, even though they were told it would take 3-5 days to get the results". It's a blatant lie. But the school still ain't closing yea.
