Program Latihan Khidmat Negara
Oh and well. I got NS 1st batch. Leaving on 3rd January. =/ Well it'll be an awesome time. But there's just too much to miss back here, it's gonna be them farewells & last goodbyes I won't get to give. It's gonna be the collective forging of our freedom into happen-ings. It's gonna be them times when we're filling in the (maybe) final moments of our friendship into history. But oh well, if it's what I'm destined to do, where I'm destined to be, so be it!
I know I have to make the most out of those 3 months. I know I have to make them friends in those 3 months. I know I have to sculpt my fitness in those 3 months. And. I know I'll be back for the highlights of this season. And. I know I WILL be the highlight of the season. I shall be! Who needs flying colo- never mind. Have a great year. 2011, you're gonna be my joy. You better be.
(Any arrogance in the above post is vehemently denied, I just do believe in myself!)
Feels Like Tonight
Well, today was the most awesome-packed day. Well, not to say mind-blowing awesome, but awesome from mulitple angles! Movie -> gaming (well, what to do. for friendship's sake. It's a great time out too) -> Football -> online! =D
Movie was Rapunzel, it's actually a real good show, the storyline is tight (for a kinda kid's movie? yes definitely) and fully deserves glowing reviews it got from all them critics! Thinking through the movie, there's a lot of story knitting, and given the amount of singing, the story is developed pretty well.
And yeah. Had to refund a ticket because we overbought. Full refund, I love TGV man! And and. saw a few friends at the movie. And missed a tonne more who watched another movie/lepak-ed around JJ before/after I came. Heh.
Gaming was CS and COD. What can you say.
Football was jaw-drop-awesome, at first it was overwhelming, we had past 25 people on the pitch! Didn't bother to count, it would've been difficult. And playing sweeper is really exhilarating! For me. Had a really good game today, the form and the runs were lovely. Though I still need to work on my stamina if I want to be on top of my game though. Heh. 7-4, and we conceded 2 from 2 over-the-goalie blunders (common goalie mistake). Great friends, games and players make me happy. =)
Online, well. A great friend took the time to contact me =). Heh. Need not say more, shall not say more.
Flynn is hawt! |

Neon Night Skies
I don't know where to begin.
I gotta have faith, but tis' pushing it.
But it doesn't matter, does it.
There's nothing special about tonight, but maybe, just maybe, it's that through my eyes, the night sky is an ebbing glow. It reminds me of what should be, peace, tranquility, calm. I hope you do too. Good night.

You Know You Want To
Hey. I guess I can't recall what I wanted to type (wow, 3 "I"'s in a row! I sound conceited, don't I).
So, I'll drop a quote and proceed to think.
Hi, Andrey! I am from Ukraine, but I like the way you play. Could you please tell me if it’s possible to study in college and play football seriously at the same time?
A.A.: It’s possible at an amateur level. It’s also possible, while studying in college, not only play football, but also chase after girls.
Well. There was this amazing game called football, that we played against SMI. Anderson versus SMI (Form 4 setup, friendly amongst friends), guess who won! 10-0! :D Though I admit we had 4 Form 5's (including meself, do I sound extra-conceited now?), but hey, two of those barely know how to kick a ball. Well, I have to admit they can, but you certainly can't find decent footballers with worse ball control. (Note: If you don't fancy football fill-ins on your blogreads, skip the next few paragraphs).
It was a great deal of fun though, playing an offside line (imagine that. What the.) . And most of the time just standing there waiting for the "rocket" to blaze infront of people to steal the ball away from them, at, well, you guessed it. Rocket speed. Gael Clichy if you ever could find one. School runner maa. What do you expect. Or more like sprinter for school sports house. Well, actually I did have work to do.
And I notched my second career-backheader! This move is usually defensive, incredibly baffling, and always memorable. But awesome nonetheless, besting my record-heading career tally of 0! A big fat zero! (Helps if you wear spectacles, heading with your forehead =O). All while I was still waking up.
Andyways, 10-0! Yes. We scored a beautiful split of 5 in the first half, and 5 in the second. Running on far less substitutes than them, It was a phenomenal win! We had only 3 substitutes. Rolling subs though.
Moving on for the football-illiterate,
Guess what. I remember what I wanted to say. Swift says, brace myself for the goodbyes. But I don't know HOW. How? I rarely experience goodbyes en masse, and them friendships a large amount I started barely 2 years ago! Tell me howwwwww. Lol. Anyway. It's okay, it's alright. It's just the end, but it means another beginning. And I'll have to pick up Canto/Mando. Great. Bummer.
Er so well. Back to the main point before I head back to dreamland (it's my second home now). There's gonna be a lot of so'long's and shoo's and "I'll miss you *sob* *sob*" moments but above all a very important point to ponder on is. In these friendships, have I done my part? Have I left behind memories that friends can cherish? Well, I guess at least I won't be remembered for all the wrong reasons (some may beg to differ), but I don't know. These kind of things are hard to convey in words. I'd probably require some telepathy, or something funky.
Yeah, anyway. As I end. to them friends. You know who you are. Trust me, you do =)

Where Ever
Hey, here I am. I'm proud to say, I've not wasted much of these past 4 years being around here =). But it's time to get up and start movin' round, God knows where I'll be after SPM. NS will be time to refocus myself, but whether it is really worth it, given the things I have left around to do. And work, I really need to get my cashflow running first. Still haven't decided, which instrument. Bass/Electric guitar, or Keyboard-synth? =o
And well, there'll certainly be things to put myself to good use to. Maybe I can get a few days off from NS to handle it. Just maybe.
Fitness.
And crud. Tuition cancelled. Well, maybe can get out for a jog. Yeah, that's about it.

4:12
I'd repost this. As I am in melancholy around an unspecified time.
You’ve been having trouble staying asleep
You been waking up at 4:12
You roll the voices over in your head
Then you try to put them neatly on the shelf
You watch the sun rise
Saw the darkness had no choice before the dawn
With your own eyes
And then you broke out laughing from a yawn
I’m so sorry I’ve been so down
I started doubting things could ever turn around
And I began to believe that all we are is material
It’s nonsensical
One thing matters in this life. Do you believe it?

Heydays That Were.
24 hours into November. A few commonly-breached social norms on Facebook & Twitter.
- Excessive exclamation marks!!! Like yeah you're so excited!!!! Whatt!!!!!=
- Liking _every_ single status update of yours. C'mon, please.
- Liking _every_ single status update of mine. It's not that bad, but are you seriously so at a loss for words? Comment please.
- Commenting on _every_ status update of mine, in a carefree - care-less manner. Even when I'm serious. Please?
- Twitter - Status updating every 10 minutes while you're online for hours on end. *Clicks unfollow button*
- Excessive exclamation marks!!! Again!!!!
Less than 24 days away from the day. But. Not worth talking up.
Life is not what I thought it was, twenty four hours ago. And I'm not who I thought I was either. ~ Switchfoot
And I gotta say. Hey, cheer up =)
(I'm not capable of scuffing together more than 2 related sentences at the moment, do bear with).
And hey, I'm dreaming of people I never get to meet in real life. How real can you get? :)
Working with 140 characters has dulled my writing! Oh noes.
Well, alright. I went to school today! Amazing, not? And guess what. We had Add Maths lecture in the PSM, with a non-functioning speaker setup, and a portable PA setup, just with the A in it (read: no mike!). Ha. So lecture turns to "lecture", and there you have it. Teachers just go around helping students who ask. And the rest do what they do best.
They played Connect 5, I played Connect 4 with them (Arnold, Adrian, Joshua Yau, Lee Eu Chris). Then recess was awesome as freshly-fried Hash Browns. Continue with attempts at Additional Maths (which was apparently in latin), and everyone wavered off. I attempted sleep, which was successful bar a Chris unintentionally nudging me with his attempts to play Connect (Word?).
Then Dahrick falls over in his chair halfway, shouting for help from Daneish "Dan" Selvakumar, which was to no avail given his gay tone in screaming "help!". He then falls all the way, dropping his eraser into a giant crevice at the window (PSM is stadium-esque seating, with a raised platform and a distinct lack of professionalism). Elden Mah retrieved it, and we discovered the printing press of Anderson! One up on Gutenberg, ha!
School ended in a bunch of uneventful minutes, and we were off! And so am I now.

Oh, What?
That was truly an awesome night. Arsenal 3, Man City 0. =D
And I guess. I'll leave it at this:
Goal Lion Techno-what? You've gotta be kidding me. But worth the read if you're bored, for sure. Alright.

A Malaysian Saga
Might be old news to some, but hey. It's gold. Haha.
TNB to sue WWF over Earth Hour
"KUALA LUMPUR Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysias premier energy provider today announced that they were taking legal action against the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) for organising the Earth Hour, a global movement that makes a stand against climate change by turning off all non-essential lights and electrical equipment for an hour every year."
Yeah check it out.

My Song
Oh hopes and dreams.
This is my song, and no one can take it away
It's been so long, but now you're here, here to stay
And I wonder if you know what it means
To find your dreams come true
- Labi Siffre
Oh hopes and dreams.
I've been waiting on this my whole life
these dreams be waking me up at night
you say I think I'm never wrong
you know what, maybe you're right, aight.
- Kanye West
Oh hopes and dreams.
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter.
- Cobb
Oh hopes and dreams. I'll take a walk. No turning back.

Wooh. What a week it was! Every day great in its own way. =) today was restday though. Well maybe that's a good thing for me.
And I passed my driving! Whee! =D =D Lesen coming next week, and aunt's car coming in sooner or later woooo =)
And people seem to make big big paragraphs of fuss about life, I cannot fathom how. So I shall remain short and "simple", while you can check out my Twitter for better readfodder :) -Solongandgoodnight-

And today was a decent day. Church -> Driving pre-test -> Futsal. (To be continued.... some day =D)

All of Time
Good week-ending. Haha. CF, yeah, _fellowship_ is always good. Had a pitstop at my church first, with a friend. Jamming is always good. CF was lunch, food is _always_ good! =D Even 3 is just nice when you have fellowship. Then uneventful afternoon-evening, to, Football! =D
Boulevard, today we managed to hit 11 people, and was really nice la today. Puvi and Yuga played well upfront, nice to watch weyh. Puvi'll just dribble through 3 defenders as usual, and smash in a shot sometimes, linking up with Yuga also. Yuga himself wasn't being selfish, and countless times tried a layoff, sometimes resulting in a goal! Haha. He plays exactly the target man, pressing up near the goal, dragging the last man around once he recieves the ball, passing back to the midfield.
Mahesh, the fella who can't run to save his life, also managed to sidefoot in a very cun long range shot, something he's seriously good at. Isaac pulak tries to dribble the whole opposition defense, entertaining at the very least, troublesome at the very best. Those metal studs do the talking, LOL.
We played about 1+1/2 hours, till 7.50pm. Nuts, Hillsong volunteer's gathering @ 7.30pm. Reached at ~8.15pm, just right after the games, so happens. Sharing on our testimonies and stories, haha. Then we had some prayer, Ps Ken was inspirational as usual, and broke for 2nd round (though I missed the first round) of food. Food was good, drinks were good too! Met people, went home. And here I am. Good night =)

Something 'bout
It's a new new day.
By the way, anyone bothered, bout the weather? It better not rain tomorrow evening, Boulevard Special Merdeka footy session (or whatever fancily retarded name you want to call it) is to come.
And a pair of new dear friends :)
Anyways, good night before my cravings for burger in this crazy rain get the better of the nutty me.
Shoutout for the nation =D

It's A New Day
I have to say, it was a nice day. =D From start to finish. "McD Group study" with Adrian & Joses, tuition, tuition and supper/dinner with cous'ns' & sis aunt. Shows you don't need really special to have a really special day!
Well, group study didn't really fulfill its full purpose, but nevertheless people trying to set french fries alight is amusing enough :P. Jokers. Then Lian and his Kit-Kat presentation nonsense. IT MELTED LA LIAN. WHAT KIND OF CHOCOLATE YOU BUY :P. Then some unexpected messages, never fail to force a =). And lamb chop is always nice to me. Rather impressive, the place they call Olivenz. Haha.
Well, it's definitely not make a wish now, it's set a goal.
If we've only got one try
If we've only got one life
If time was never on our side
Then before I die
I want to burn out bright
If time was never on our side
Then before I die
I want to burn out bright

But I love Them Nonetheless
Tuition. Add maths. Additionally boring today, as always. But smart me almost left wallet & handphone in class, :O. Then as I went outside, a car hit some cat, it screeched loudly, sounded so weird LOL. It cheated death and ran off though. The thought of it still makes me laugh. Then come one round, under the highway near Jusco, there was some accident, with the ambulance and all there. Random, but helped alot with the traffic, says my aunt. =D
The chase for the authentic voice? I'll take a walk.

The End
Finals seems to garner comments of "boring" from people, I say otherwise. Fluid football, dirty tackles, flying free kicks, glancing headers, a Robben breaking the speed limit, and Iniesta's brilliant slaloms - there's so much to say, even Xavi had a star-studded game, his football-pitch perfect passing wore down Holland - and them playing the aggressive game they were, and pissing off the referee much with their incessant fouling, fully deserved the red card which, some will complain, changed the match around, and therefore they lost by a "refereeing" decision. Come ON. The referee has to be annoyed, with 28 fouls from the Dutchmen. It sometimes looked like they wanted to put the Spanish on crutches.
Thoroughly climactic match, definitely cements its place in history, tis' definitely one not to forget. Viva la Iniesta! La Furia Ro'ja =D
Anyways. Had a decent weekend, managed to hit some PES matches with Ben, he was also quite hyped up. Played Holland-Spain, Germany-Uruguay matches and all. Haha. His new widescreen HDTV makes it all look weird though, PS3 pleaseee =)
Tuitions are getting better, more chatty. Yeah. That's just about right. -out-

7 Things On My Mind
- Airplanes, and their ambiguous use of being turned into shooting stars. Really could use a wish right now.
- The endless chirp echoing throughout the night; grasshoppers? Or are them crickets.
- Guitar, it's too late for any noise. Haven't touched it since yesterday.
- Zeal, and my apparent lack of it. Needyounow.
- Colour, in the soundscape sense. Could it be any more difficult to comprehend?
- Life, and it's lack of shortcuts. Ain't no walkover.
- The one.

Law, and "May I Have Your Order, Sir?"
Undang lecture today. Reminds me how time flies. And how much I miss plain life peddling along steadily. Slowly, but steadily. Yeah, and so happened to meet Daren. Haha. relatively quiet day otherwise though.
And I realise my music-playing is too heavily influenced by Hillsong all over, especially chord progressions (which by itself is not necessarily a bad thing). But I guess I'll have to start expanding myself. Woohoo.
"sometimes we’re so busy trying to lead people, that we don’t have time to even be the Christ-like example to which we’re trying to lead them,"
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now.

Authenticity is Being.
Well. What's up, World Cup. Brazil - North Korea, one of the most beautiful games of the tournament, surely? Both sides attacked forwardly and fluently, but also defended strongly. Especially them Koreans, dude, they can SLIDE, seriously. All 3 goals were made of sheer brilliance, they had to be, given the quality of defending today. And hey, 2-1 to Brazil was a fair result. The Koreans did show their guts though, showing strength at both ends of the pitch. But Brazil played like champions.
And yeah, picked up some funky tricks. =D. Or at least know what I'm up against come next football.
It's been ages since I touched a football more than twice. Rain, rain, and more rain. Oh please wake up early and come in the morninggggggg when we don't play footballllllllll. Or you can rain on the days I just got to have tuitionnnnnn. Then futsal, on the wrong day. With a pinch of salt, I'd say any game's better than no game. Oh please.
Anyway, I'd say. Hey people, Life's never been fair to nobody, getoveritplease :)

Light Up The Sky
Been watching movies lately. The most emotional one though, was Up In the Air. Really, that was certainly the greatest 2 hours I've spent in the hols so far. They call it, idealism, no?
What about me. Well, If I'd have to paint up my thousand words. Here's what's in me.
Yeah. I wouldn't have it any other way. Cause I still trust.

Foot-on-Knee Syndrome
http://www.glennpackiam.typepad.com/ is proving to be a relevant blog to me over the months I've been reading. =)
Exams and river dams. They both clog up things. Add math was, good sleeping time though. Maths was similar. Though being able to hop from class to class for a good chat beats anything else =D. And ah-Cheong slept a beautiful hour on his English paper, approx 45mins to be exact, or was it really a full hour. And I thought I overslept -.= .
It's been a benighted season for a long time. Shine some light on the issue, will you.
A random, thought-provoking quote. It was a Sunday. (Malaysian dude, this)
How many times is Jesus or the Father or the Holy Spirit named in prayer/worship/preaching today? Or is it a lot of "God", "You"? - Glenn Packiam

Cropping All the Cream
Sad state of affairs isn't it. Well, can't say much about my weekend. Except I've been playing the best football of my entire life, IMO. =D It's a beautiful game.
Livin' it. Made my day.

Is This.
Life's been good. It always has. Achievement far beyond imagination, really? I have what I wanted =)
A thank you to God in heaven, for the blessings. For the family. For the people. For the gifts. For the protection.
It's never too little to ask. School is becoming better, I like it this way. But it won't remain, will it. It's all gonna be over in 8 months.
Run across my mind, will you? =)
So yeah, I'm fine, thank you. Don't worry about me, I'm the least of them worries. The least of these, more important than me. =) A verse, which inspires me always.
Proverbs 16:9 (New King James Version)
A man’s heart plans his way,
But the LORD directs his steps

Animosity
It's not turning slowly.
And I'm feeling surly.
Life has been a rollercoaster, plenty too fast paced for my taste.
Would you stop, bring it back, neck-in-neck, and stop making it a race.
Bar me, from speaking in rhyme.
'Cause I believe it's my time.

New Years & Cheers
Well. Didn't reply half of the greetings. Am I supposed to feel bad?
I'm an effectless wreck, I'm a terrible finisher.
Happy CNY to those too wry.
And love saves the day.

Lucky Yous
Stop. And stare.
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be
You'll never see what I see.
It's never simple. Never straight. Or is it?
Paint a picture, of all the crookedness and crooks.
Everybody's watching. Whether I, whether they like it or not.

Animosity, Creeping In Slowly
I'm standing on the firth.
All I see, an assuaged riverbed.
All I hear, the clamant animals.
All I feel, the gloaming sunset.
All I know, it's not gonna snow.
Time to break out the ice.

Mitoastish and Cremeanal
Study your rudiments however you can – find a teacher, listen to your favorite artists, go to concerts and last but not least and most important, play, play, play! You’ll know when you’re doing something correct when you become passionate and obsessed with being a good player. Without those ingredients, well, not sure I can help! How do you develop passion and obsession...? By following your musical instinct, your ears, what you like to play. That’s the essence of anything in life. What’s your melody? Then develop that! Emulation is good to a point, but after awhile, you have to leave that crutch behind and have the courage to develop YOUR ears. Are you playing what YOU hear? If you are, then those are the most honest notes you can deliver to the audience.
Tis' the 101st post
Funny. Didn't realise my 2010 post was my 100th post.
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
I see rays of light, a saviour King
Oh no measure for, the peace He brings
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Edit: It's actually the 100th post right here right now, cause of a draft I had far back in history. =)

2010 10 Days Late
2009
A year. Full of hope.Ounces of failure.
Littered with things falling apart.
Marked up by things falling in place.
Filled of joyful noise.
Dampened with of tears of sorrow.
2010
A year. Full of everything.
Ounces of hope.
Littered with things unseen.
Marked with peace in faith.
Filled with duty, discipline, dignity, and dedication.
Dampened with emotions beyond reach.
I am. Only human.
A breather, i plea?
