And yes the chain of events. Reached KL on Friday afternoon - met Serene there. She just came from her visa interview, dressed all formal all!
We were waiting for Stephen since his bus was from Singapore, and decided to get a drink from the awesome vending machines around Sentral. Sadly, most of them were spoilt! So we went hunting for a working machine - finally found one outside. Haha.
We went for some nasi lemak (it was really good) with Aren, an old friend of my cousin's. He fetched us from Sentral to dinner and to our home for the weekend! Check out the cuuute doggie if you haven't (there's another cute doggie coming up from my friend's house - stay posted :D) And then there was Urbanscapes.
Urbanscapes - the picture says it all! RM0.00 - Complimentary! |
Somehow I won Urbanscapes passes which would be on the same day as the Liverpool match, almost same time! Considered skipping the match - but in the end my friend who'd accompany me for Urbanscapes had to leave early so ended up hitting both! Yayy haha. If you can't read pictures or something funny, Urbanscapes is an all-day creative arts festival. It's pretty chill.
Here's the wrist band I was given - orange is for 18 and up! |
Met up with Xing-Yi and his friend, Aaron. We proceeded to round the place. There were many things to see, from the hot air balloon being started up, to guitar hero to an indie band "rocking" the stage. Haha. We had some random stuff too, with some "tasks" to be done. Hug or hi-five 5 random people. And all I got was this CD.
Lady Gaga.. No, it's Christina Aguilera! |
Yeah. That's about it. There was one ultra-cool demonstration by some experimental duo. It was a water container set up, with 16 partitions separated by plastic walls. The top is open, and there are "crystal balls" at each corner. It conducts electricity from the balls to the water partitions, and these trigger off the synth :) once I figure out this newfangled video editing program I'll post it up for all to see :D till then Here's the video! You gotta check this out, the most eye-catching thing we walked past in the whole Urbanscapes. :D
