Kuala Lumpur - Passion

Okay, so I did head down to KL for the Liverpool match! Although I am an Arsenal supporter, you can't really turn down a free ticket can you? Haha. It was the weekend some more, great offer.

After Urbanscapes at Asia Jaya, I shot straight down to the Masjid Jamek interchange to the Sentul line which leads to Stadium Bukit Jalil. My cousins joined along at Taman Jaya as they were waiting for me at the mall over there.

The queue for interchange tickets..
Well, when we arrived there, we saw this huge huge crowd. It doesn't really look as massive as the real thing, but there's a picture of it. Massive, everyone was jammed up there. Thank God we met Sandra there, she was further in front and got our tickets. Since we had the time we went to get our return from here to Kelana Jaya area so that we wouldn't get stuck in another queue on the way back.

Well to cut the long story short, we made it! Although a fumble or two happened along the way (cellphone signal at the Stadium was horrid - 30-40 calls were dropped before we managed to make contact!), we  managed to enter the stadium at least! I really liked my seat :)

My view.. This is a very accurate approximation of my field of vision there.

I sat in a very good seat, with some sort of semblance to the TV view that I actually enjoy quite a lot.Could see the left-right play and movement was very obvious.

The match finished 6-3 - quite entertaining, and the goals were be-au-tiful! Oh the first Malaysian goal was one spectacular free kick, swerving wickedly out of the keeper's grasp. Brilliant! Malaysia managed to catch out Liverpool on pace on more than one occasion in the second half, something quite interesting as Liverpool weren't able to do the same to the steely Malaysian defence.

Although this defence shipped 2 free goals to David N'gog who happily took them and barely touched the ball other than those two goals. He was running in the full back zones, weirdly enough. Isn't the furthest player forward supposed to hang around the central areas?

Here's another panorama shot - quite nice to see a full stadium!

Full view of everything! What a glorious stadium to play in :)
After the match, the LRT human jam was INSANE!!! People were packed together like sardines, and it was kinda tense. But some dudes managed to crack some lame jokes, like "ini sardin ke tuna sekarang?" and "tepi, tepi, air panas!" "tepi, tepi ada orang pengsan! Ada orang nak bersalin! Ada orang sudah mati!" and all. Haha.

After we managed to squeeze through and get on the train, rode all the way to Masjid Jamek. The jam here wasn't so bad, as most of the traffic was still stuck at the Bukit Jalil LRT. But there was a sizeable queue at the ticketing counter, so we were lucky enough to grab our tickets on the way here instead of leaving it till now.

We headed to KL Sentral instead for our friend to pick us up. We then sent Stephen to KLIA for his return flight and shot straight for supper at Murni's SS2. Hit up a Roti Beckham, dedicated to Joses Khoo XD

Roti Beckham, dee-lee-cious!
